Moon in Taurus

Taurus is associated with venus, love, earth, and femininity. The gender is important for this sign. Someone with this sign will be deeply connected to love, loyalty, and beauty.

As well, this person will be outwardly beautiful, since the moon signifies what things look like. Their beauty is a reflection of how they do due diligence to take care of their health inwardly.

This sign is very good at studying, they can become enthralled with the arts.

Feminine prosperity is key with this moon sign. These beauties are usually very abundant. The sign Taurus has to do with the ability to acquire, and the moon has do to with the desire to acquire. So when we put the two together, we see that this sign has a strong power to attract wealth as well as ground the energy.

Moon in taurus are quite pragmatic in their domestic life. They like things that are predictable and consistent. So their family relationships are usually strong, and they have high fidelity in any relationship they are in. They crave stability and endurance. Furthermore, being a fixed sign, they are persistent and they persevere, and they seek tangible outcomes.

Comfort is a key issue for them. They need comfort in order to feel emotionally centered. Their inner spaces are very important to them. They find comfort through sensual things. An interesting thing to not is that their self-esteem and possessions are intimately linked.

The moon is exhalted in taurus. This means ‘rising’. This is because the moon is mutable and taurus is fixed. However, this dissonance actually benefits them. The moon being fluctuating gets challenged by fixed taurus, leading there to be a spark that gets the moon to overcome challenges. It allows for a strong determination and concentration for people in this sign.

Because the moon sign has to do with emotions, and it being a fixed sign, emotions run deep for this sign, and it takes quite a while for these people to work through them. Journaling would be very helpful to people with this moon sign!

My two favourite things to wear

I would say the first thing I love wearing is a lululemon scuba hoodie. It hugs my figure so well and its so cozy! Too bad I left it at my friends house I need to get it back. I’ve been really missing it.

The second favourite for my is my luluemon flare pants. Same – they suck me in good and are so figure flattering as well as comfortable. I also need to find where these ran off to. LOL

Moon in Pisces

The moon sign is about our emotions and how we function in our daily lives, as well as our true personality.

Moon in pisces are very compassionate. They are very kind. They can take on the energy and emotions of others. They have a deep sense of empathy for others, they can really feel what others are feeling. They can easily connect to others pain. They have a very giving nature, and they are very connected to the energy of love. They see the good in everyone. However, it is easy for them to lose themselves in others problems, so they have to be careful of this.

They are extremely sensitive and soft hearted. Being a water sign, they are very emotional and take on this watery energy a lot of the time. They can feel things purely, from the soul. They wear their heart on their sleeve and sometimes have no filter. They are romantic which is a beautiful trait. However, they have to be guarded at times and may put up strong barriers due to their sensitivity.

Their spirituality is highly developed. They are very spiritually intelligent. They are connected to the universe and probably know a lot about things like chakras and astrology. They are highly intuitive. They really appreciate the beauty of this world.

Some negative traits are that their creativity can make them impractical. They can get lost in their anxiety and worry for others. Also, they can be escapists at times because they worry so much for others. They can also get caught up in self-pity.

Pisces moons sensitivity is one of their great strengths and if they can manage their boundaries they will do well emotionally.

Some female moon in pisces celebrities are Rihanna, Kim K, Drew Barrymore, Marilyn Monroe, Lady Gaga, J. Lo., Simone Biels, Jessica Biel, Kesha, and Eva Mendes.

Moon in Virgo

Moon in Virgo, the main thing that comes to mind with the sign virgo is ‘the fixer’ as my cousin mentioned last night. And when your moon is in this sign, you are even more strongly trying to fix things, not just on the physical level but on the spiritual-emotional level. These people really think deeply about the world’s issues and how they can be fixed. As well, they look at their daily lives and the lives of others and analyze how things could be better. They are big on routines and so they will spend time to really think and plan out their routine so they can best optimize their energy and get the most out of their day.

Moon in virgo people are very detail-oriented and analytical. Little details matter to them and actually get them excited. They would be the type to read every ingredient on the back of the shampoo bottle in their spare time ( I have done this). They are very interested in how things are made and what steps go into creating something.

Their minds are very active. Their wheels are always turning and they can tend to be over-thinkers. Because of this, the way they process their emotions is very different than other moon signs. They are never really completely sure or accepting of their emotions because they are always thinking one step ahead. They are really strong thinkers, and not so strong at feeling their emotions. They can be very emotional, but when it comes to something emotional they are inwardly dealing with, they can take a while to define what it is they are feelings and really accept it. Virgo moons can really doubt and question their emotions which I believe can be one of their downfalls.

Virgo moons can be perfectionists. They love to be organized. They are very rational, which is a strength of theirs. They have a certain order to everything and probably have a certain place for everything. They can be messy, but in an organized type of way. They usually have a very good sense of style because of their attention to detail. It’s not over the top though, it’s sensible and can be laid back as well. However their minds are definitely not laid back at times! They can be very calm too.

A strong characteristic that applies to all virgo moons is that they love to be of service to others. They love to give advice and help, because they are known as the fixers. They will do anything to help someone and leave them better off than they found them, especially for their close friends and family. They really love to bestow their wisdom, because they have spent so much time thinking about the world issues as well as our inner spiritual and emotional issues, they are able to help others with these issues so they can better face the world!

The time in between

So I wanted to talk about the time where, there really is nothing to do, there are no imminent plans, you’re not going anywhere, you’re not at class or at work. You’re not actively watching anything or doing anything on your phone. You’re not doing the dishes or brushing your hair or something.

I wanted to talk about when you’re just being. You have that realization that you don’t need to be doing anything. You are maybe with someone, and you realize you have time to hug for extra long, or play with the cat for however long you want. You’re really just kind of hanging out, and time and space fades away for a little while. I love this time. There is no pressure to get anything done, or to act a certain way. It is in these times that we feel we can be totally ourselves. We are just in this mode where we feel the freedom to be playful or relax. Or maybe we are on a walk and we can really just take our time and embrace the scenery and our senses. It’s those moments when we are really not doing much of anything, but we are absolutely enjoying ourselves just the same.

I feel like this is the time where creativity really sparks. Our true selves are shining, and we are synchronistic, and present and gentle. There is a deep sense of gentleness that comes from these moments. Because there is really no pressure to be anything. We are just allowing and being. And we are just flowing, without any real expectations. It’s so easy to take the time in between for-granted, but when we embrace it and appreciate it, it is mysterious and wondrous all at the same time. There’s just something so unique about these moments, where we have extra time it seems, time that isn’t time. It’s an opportunity to let go and really embrace what the present moment is offering to us.

It’s those 5 minutes that you take where instead of moving onto the next thing, you just stay where you are and see what kind of interactions you experience. It’s really great to do this with animals. They really bring out the gentle, playful energy that is so potent in this time. Also, with kids I’ve found they are really good at this. At not needing to be productive but just being playful and really taking the moment for what it is.

Anyway, I hope you can find some special ‘time in between’ and really see yourself for the gentle, true soul that you are.

Your name has power

Once we grow up, we don’t always think so much of our name. We use it in emails and on documents, but we don’t really appreciate how special it is and what influence it has. Our name carries a vibration, and a certain tune to it when it is said out loud. Certain names carry different vibes, and doesn’t it seem that those with the same name as you have a similar aura to yours? So the reason this all happens is because we are being called that name from when we are born. People then subconsciously associate certain qualities with us. As well, every name has meanings you can google, and this also has some influence on what type of energy we are being painted with and then further that we acquire.

For example, the name Alexandra. This gives name off an elegant energy. Someone who has it all together and it sounds maturely feminine to me. When shortened to Alex, it becomes unisex and it seems for a female name, this person would be intelligent as well as carrying some masculine energy. It just seems like an Alex would be trust-worthy, responsible, funny, and smart. When we look up the meaning of the name Alex, it carries a different energy, which can add versatility to the person and how they are viewed, as well as how they see themselves and how this manifests in the physical world. So the name Alex means defender or protect. It translate from Greek to man or warrior. So my assumptions were correct, but I would not have thought of the protector aspect. So without really knowing, I’m sure that many Alex’s embody this protector persona, simply because this name meaning exists. And further, if they know about it, then they likely subconsciously manifest protector traits.

The more that someone says your name, the more you use your real name, the more power it holds. It can take courage to introduce yourself, with your real name, to a stranger. But this courage only grants you more personal power and confidence. That’s why I think it’s important to tell your name more. After all, this is the name your parents gave you, for a reason. This is the name all your friends know you by, all your family know you by, and all your teacher know you by. When they call you by your name, they imagine you as a certain type of person, and they will always hold this picture and vibe of you in their head. So sing your name for all to hear, sing it loud! Sing it proud πŸ™‚ and don’t forget to lookup your name meaning. You may be surprised, or you may go, ahhh that makes sense.

Here to be mindful

I feel like it’s so easy to get caught up in looking forward to something, instead of enjoying the present moment. I mean, we discount the present moments because we think that something more important is coming up ahead. However, this is not true, we really should be appreciating all aspects of life. Because we are truly lucky to be alive. And when we act this way in everything we do, we have the opportunity to experience a much richer life. So that;s why, even the simple act of making tea or doing the dishes should be treated as sacred and important. And when we do this, we find we are much better at coping with life in general. And also, when that exciting thing does finally come around, we will be much more mindful experiencing that too!

I think it’s so easy to get caught up in looking to the future. After all, there are many exciting things we will get to do. However, if we take care to appreciate them, there are so many wonderful gifts in the present moment if we open up our senses to them. I think the more we practice this, the better that we get at this. It’s not easy and no one is perfect at it. But the more we try, the more we remind ourselves, the better we get. Life is really so much better when we are mindful. It’s a lot more engaging and a lot more peaceful. And we will inspire others and be able to give to others because we are filling our own cup by being mindful. I think everything we do is a process, a journey, and that’s really what mindfulness comes down to, embracing the journey. It’s so much more fun that way! Anyway. I really hope this inspires you to live life more fully, more graciously, more presently. I know it fills me up with love when I can really engage in the present moment.

Have a wonderful day wherever you are, thanks for reading. πŸ™‚ ❀

Working Out

Hey! So I’ve had some big changes in my life lately! I moved to a different place and am now living with my dad. It has it’s challenges, but for the most part I feel grateful and feel like there are many wins about my new situation. It feels so good to have a new perspective on things, and to have someone supporting me on my healing journey who cares so much about me. Anyway, that’s all I will say about that.

Exercise! I know I’ve talked about yoga on here before. But specifically, I wanted to talk about hitting up the gym. There’s something so unique about it compared to other forms of exercise. Because with other things, you are just doing one sport, and a lot of times, one group of muscles. But at the gym you can use every muscle there is and you can do so many different form of movement. You aren’t just limited to one thing. There is just so much equipment and so much opportunity to cross train, so because of my adhd I’m sure, I really like to take advantage of that. It also makes it more fun and the time go by faster when you try to get in more exercises. So that’s a huge plus about going to the gym.

Another huge plus is you can schedule it into routine. You can choose to go at a specific time and decide how long about you will be there each time. This is a huge advantage, because with other forms of excercise at home, it’s easy to not have a routine with it and just do it randomly.

One thing I’ve really noticed from going to the gym consistently is my confidence in myself. I felt really down for a while on myself, and felt like my confidence had taken a hit. But when I became stronger at the gym I automatically started to believe in myself more, and just felt better about myself in general. I felt like I could trust myself more. I felt more energized and awake, and definitely more powerful.

Another amazing thing which builds off the last part, is that each time you go you get better. It was really hard at first to motivate myself, especially when your body feels week. But I found that each time I go I am stronger and more capable and certain exercises that were hard before, I’m having to increase the weight. It does take time though, it doesn’t happen so fast, but little by little you do see an improvement and before you know it you become very impressed with yourself and proud of yourself.

And of course, it’s so amazing for your mental health. I think it definitely makes you happier. I think the act of counting your reps can be very grounding and centering. I think the fact that everyone there is trying to better themselves is really encouraging. The respect that you get from other people is also really wonderful. There is lasting positive impacts throughout the day, one of the physiological ones is lowered blood pressure! If you do cardio, which I think is really important for everyone to do, it really boosts those happy hormones like serotonin and dopamine in a natural way, and also it’s really good for your heart health.

I hope you gained some inspiration and you liked this blog post <3. Love you guys.

Taking it step by step

I think it’s so important to take things one step at a time. I think because of our society we have this false notion that we don’t have enough time and that we need to rush. Actually we do have time to do everything we need to do. We just have to keep our priorities straight too. But yes, you know that feeling when you do things so quickly and then end up having so much time at home, doing nothing really? Well that’s why we can take our time, especially on the weekends. Even if we have errands or people to see, we still have lots of time to take it slow. We get through life by going one step at a time. That’s how we get through it. We can enjoy and savor the moments, because it’s really the moments that give us joy and make us feel like we are really living. It’s the ability to feel like we are being mindful in the moment, where we cherish it, that we see that things happen for a reason, and life is meant to be taken easy. There is so much beauty in mindfulness. It really allows us to let go and see the bigger picture. It also allows us to be there for ourselves, and for others.

I think you will find that when you just have a greater awareness for taking things step by step, you will see how much you were missing out on. Another thing you will see is how much it eases your worries. Anyway, that’s all I really have to say. Have a great day or night. ❀

Taking Breaks

Hey, so I wanted to talk about taking breaks. It’s so important. I think if you are in school or working, you feel like it’s so hard to be able to take time out for yourself. It’s so easy to get pulled in so many directions, to work on things, and then to focus on other people, to worry about other people too. I feel like I just need to focus on myself. Sometimes it’s literally like okay, everyone just needs to take care of themselves, instead of trying to take care of each other, and that would be a lot more balanced energy. That would be a lot more healthier sometimes, then we would have a lot more peace of mind. But we are naturally caring at heart, o of course we want to do things for other people, even when it is really draining our own life force energy. We also want to impress other people, when really, the only person we should be trying to impress is ourselves with how much we are managing our own mental health. I think with work and school, it’s definitely a fine balance. There definitely is pressure to try to achieve certain goals, but at the same time, if you are trying too hard, like me, then you burn yourself out easily. I’m much better than I was before. Thank God. But yeah it’s easy to worry about what other people think, instead of our mantra that should be okay worry about myself.

So yeah, I mean, I will get back to the breaks. That is the key when you are trying to find that sense of balance in the workplace. When you recognize that taking time out for yourself is important for your longevity in what you are doing, then you will prioritize that more. And you won’t be as much of a people pleaser. And you will find that you are actually healing others by setting the example that it’s okay to take breaks. It’s sometimes hard to do, but I’ll give you some examples.

Okay, so say for example you are having too long of a conversation with someone. You need to be aware that it is draining you, and then let them know, tell them directly, I think it’s time for this now. Whatever it may be. Maybe it’s time to get water, maybe it’s time to go for a walk. Whatever your intuition is telling you. You can also say, I need to go do blah blah. Even if you think it’s not justified in the moment, trust me it is for your mental health. And by saying I need you are sending a subconcious signal to the other person that actually you are justified in that. Another example is when you are getting carried away, with something, and you feel like you can’t get away. You could suggest another idea, something that is still work but that is a different activity. Sometimes you can’t do this, so that’s understandable. Another way to take a break is to just take a deep breath. I like the saying ‘you can always start over with a new breath’ this ones awesome because it allows you to keep working or studying but with an easier energy. I think scheduling breaks is important. I nanny, and since it can feel long and with constant stimulation, we take a half-hour break in the middle of it, to stay quiet. I think another great way to take a break is to reward yourself. Reward yourself in whatever way you see fit – do a dance, play a happy song, eat a donut. Yeah! Yes but scheduling breaks is so important. Like making sure to have those breaks, even if you can’t fully take a break but you say to yourself, okay for these next 3 minutes I’m going to be brutally kind to myself.
